OHR’s Statement at the International Agencies’ Joint Press Conference in Banja Luka
As a result of constructive talks in Mostar yesterday, the High Representative, Christian Schwarz-Schilling, has agreed temporarily to suspend the imposition of additional financial penalties against political parties in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton that were scheduled to come into force today.

The escape from Foca Prison last weekend of Radovan Stankovic continues to be of serious concern to OHR. In the immediate aftermath of Stankovic’s flight there appears to have been a scandalous degree of confusion at all levels regarding what should be done by whom and when.
