Today is 1 October and the deadline for agreement on police reform has passed. Unfortunately, what has been achieved is not enough to continue the Stabilisation and Association Process with the European Union. It is in the hands of political leaders to change this situation by coming to an agreement on police reform.

The High Representative and EU Special Representative, Miroslav Lajčák will be in Banja Luka tomorrow, where he will address the Republika Srpska National Assembly and answer questions from MPs. The event is scheduled for 11:00 hrs and will be carried live on RTRS.

Prime Minister Dodik reportedly questioned why the OHR would ask for documents on Republika Srpska’s Agreement on Special and Parallel Relations with Serbia. The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has in the past ruled that Entities are entitled, under the Constitution, to establish pecial and parallel relations with neighbouring states [...]

In Brussels late last night the High Representative and EU Special Representative in BiH, Miroslav Lajčak met the Secretary General of the Council of the EU and High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy, Javier Solana.

The High Representative and EU Special Representative, Miroslav Lajcak, will address a plenary session of BH Parliament on Thursday (6 September).

The High Representative Miroslav Lajčák has appointed Ivan Bušniak as the new Head of the Office of the High Representative in Banja Luka with effect from 1 September 2007. Until Mr Bušniak takes over his duty, Orlando Fusco, will remain interim Head of the Banja Luka Office.

The High Representative and EU Special Representative, Miroslav Lajčák, acknowledged a series of initial developments in the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina today.
