High Representative Christian Schmidt held a series of high-level meetings on the sidelines of this year's Bled Strategic Forum, focusing on the progress in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans, as well as the region's integration and security prospects in the context of EU enlargement.

High Representative Christian Schmidt participated in the GLOBSEC Forum in Prague, where the path for European security and future was further discussed with a focus on the Western Balkans.

The newly appointed Principal Deputy High Representative and Brčko District Supervisor, Louis Crishock, conducted his first official visit to Brčko, meeting with government representatives, law enforcement and judiciary representatives, as well as civil society.

The High Representative Christian Schmidt welcomes the Resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly with the aim to acknowledge and commemorate Srebrenica genocide.

“Brčko authorities need to expedite administrative processes to maintain project momentum and uphold effective cooperation with international partners,” the Principal Deputy High Representative and Brčko Supervisor Jonathan Mennuti said today during a visit to Brčko together with Head of the EBRD Office in BiH Manuela Naessl.

The HR calls on political stakeholders to keep this deadline in mind should they have constructive proposals to improve the amendments.
