Brcko, 27 June 2001 After the Brcko District Assembly voted down the draft Law on Education at its 22nd regular session held on 27 June 2001, Brcko Supervisor Henry L. Clarke stated: "I am not surprised that the law was not adopted, but I’m disappointed.

Brcko, 11 June 2001 Unfortunately, the Brcko District Assembly did not pass the Law on Education, despite its importance to the upcoming school year. There was, however, a debate on possible amendments. The Assembly decided to consider the law again at its next session.

Brcko, 22 May 2001 I must again extend my deepest condolences, this time to the family and friends of Emir Suvalic, who was killed by a mine near Gornje Dubravice on Monday. The Brcko District has more mines than almost any other place in Bosnia and Herzegovina – probably over half a million.

Brcko, 18 May 2001 Today the Supervisor of Brcko, Ambassador Henry L. Clarke handed over a donation of medical equipment, worth 84,000 KM, to the Brcko District Hospital. The equipment is one of many donations from the US State Department as part of the Brcko Supervisor’s Quick Impact program.
