Deputy Head of the Public Security Centre in S. Sarajevo, Srdjan Knezevic, was buried today. Knezevic was killed by masked attackers firing from an automatic weapon in Pale two days ago.

The RS PM, Milorad Dodik, political leadership, family and a few thousand citizens of Srpsko Sarajevo solemnly escorted the last remains of the Deputy Head of the Srpsko Sarajevo PSC and legendary commander of the White Wolf brigade, Srdjan Knezevic. “It’s as if these times take the best of men, and you seem to be one of them”- Minister of Interior, Milovan Stankovic, said at the funeral. “You died confronting cowards, thieves and criminals, and I promise you, as the Minister of Interior, that the executors and those who gave the orders will taste justice”- the Minister also said. The RS President paid her last respects to Srdjan Knezevic at the commemorative session held in Pale this morning.

The B&H Presidency member, Momcilo Krajisnik, condemned the killing of Srdjan Knezevic. Expressing his condolences, Krajisnik called upon the RS authorities to find the murders as soon as possible and punish them.

Members of the Peace Forces were attacked on two occasions during this weekend. The attacks took place near Jablanica, 50 kilometres south of Sarajevo, and no injuries were reported.

  • “The RS on trial” was the motto of the first SDS rally in Brcko attended by Momcilo Krajisnik, Dragan Kalinic, Nikola Spiric, Dragan Cavic and others.
  • Socialist Party held a rally in Svodna near Novi Grad. Zivko Radisic, Dragoljub Trivanovic, Borislav Obradovic and others attended the rally.
