At today’s RS NA session, councillors discussed the 21st item on the agenda, the draft of the Law on cessation of the Law on Abandoned Property. The RS NA supported the government’s standpoint, which condemns the statement in which the Co-chairman in the Council of Ministers, Haris Silajdzic, states that Bosnia is prepared to serve as a base for NATO forces for intervention in Kosovo. The RS Prime Minister stated that the RS Government expects the High Representative to take action against Haris Silajdzic.

The SPRS President, Zivko Radisic, condemned the statement given by the Co-chairman in the Council of Ministers, Haris Silajdzic. “The SPRS is against any kind of military intervention, and especially from Bosnian territory” Radisic stated, adding that socialists in the RS support the RS Assembly and Government’s request for starting the initiative for the dismissal of the Co-chairman in the Council of Ministers.

An RS Government delegation visited Strasbourg during the Council of Europe Assembly session. “The visit was aimed to open the RS to Europe as well as making preparations for the upcoming elections”- the RS Deputy PM Ostoja Kremenovic stated.

The RS Minister of Interior, Milovan Stankovic, and U.S. Ambassador Richard Kauzlarich met today in Bijeljina. The main problem in the reconstruction of the RS police is, according to the Ministers’ words, the new reduced number of policemen.

The SDS President of the Presidency, Aleksa Buha, stated that it is very likely that SDS and SRS would make an election alliance with the Coalition for the RS, made up of SSKP, NSRS, SPAS and DPS. “The Coalition Coordination Board held negotiations with the SDS and SRS coalition. The talks were led at the highest level and agreement was reached, but we still do not have confirmation from our Main Boards, which need to approve this alliance” said the SSKP President, Predrag Lazarevic.
