The RS government held a session today. Among other items on the agenda, the package of laws on privatisation and the issue of closing collective centres were discussed, as well as the personnel issue regarding the administrative boards of state companies.

The presidents of the SNS, SPRS and the Party of Independent Social-Democrats, Biljana Plavsic, Zivko Radisic and Milorad Dodik, signed an agreement on forming the “Sloga” (Concord) Coalition. They will have joint participation in the forthcoming September elections. The Coalition will be managed by a coordinating body headed by the SNS president, Biljana Plavsic.

The leaders of SDS and Serb Radical Party, Aleksa Buha and Nikola Poplasen, signed an agreement in Bijeljina today on joint participation in the coming elections. Since these two parties will take part in the September elections in B&H as coalition partners, it was agreed that Nikola Poplasen would be their candidate for RS president and candidates for the RS vice-president and the member of the B&H Presidency would be proposed by the SDS.

The RS President, Biljana Plavsic, met today in Banja Luka with the Head of the OSCE Mission to B&H and the president of the PEC, Robert Barry. Answering journalists’ questions after the meeting, Barry underlined the importance of the September elections and called on citizens to register by June 27. He also confirmed that, again, Serb refugees from Croatia who did not have RS citizenship would not have the right to vote.

“All parties should know the conditions for holding pre-election rallies, and election rules should be in compliance with the Constitutions of the RS, B&H Federation and B&H”, it was concluded at today’s meeting of the member of the B&H Presidency from the RS, Momcilo Krajisnik, and the deputy Prime Minister of the B&H Federation, Vladimir Soljic. They discussed the possibilities for improving economic cooperation between the RS and the B&H Federation, as well as the reorganisation of B&H TV.

A session of the B&H CoM was held in Sarajevo today. Among other issues, the B&H budget and the proposal of measures for its functioning were discussed. The Deputy High Representative, Hanns Schumacher, today opened the new seat of the common B&H institutions in the building of the former B&H Parliament in the presence of representatives of the World Bank, European Commission and B&H senior officials. The B&H CoM will hold its session in these premises next Thursday.

“The RS Interior Ministry will not start issuing travel documents until contemporary equipment is installed in all nine RS centers of public security and personnel are professionally trained”, it was stated by the inspector for travel documents, Ljiljana Divcic, at a press conference today.
