United States Air Forces bombed bases in Afghanistan and Sudan, believing them to be the places where attacks on US embassies were planned. Afghanistan sources reported on at least 15 victims of these attacks. BiH Presidency President Izetbegovic and US Ambassador Kauzlarich met today discussing US attack and Kauzlarich said that co-operation of all democratic countries is necessary in the fight against terrorism. US President Clinton ceased his vacation and went to Washington where he said for the press that America has stroke back, while US press speculates that attacks have been carried out in order to distract attention from current Clinton -Lewinski affair. UK Prime Minister Blair supported US action and said that democratic governments must act decisively in order to prevent terrorist actions. German French and Japan officials also supported US action while Russian President Yeltsin severely condemned the bombing. Iraq appealed on all Moslem countries to confront US arrogance.

About 300 Bosniaks returned to Capljina municipality today. Although almost all houses in the village of Oplacici were burnt, its residents decided to return and start reconstruction.

Bosniak return to Brcko is still uncertain. The reason for this is the lack of reconstruction revenues and certain decision of authorities in Brcko. Federal part of Brcko Governor, Jusufovic, said that Brcko authorities are allocating the land for house construction in places where mostly Bosniak population lived before the war, and that none of Bosniak officials have been informed on this. Jusufovic said that friends of Bosnia and Brcko residents carried out reconstruction of houses where Bosniaks can return while assistance from the International Community is still lacking.

New British Ambassador to BiH, Graham Hand, conveyed the Letter of Appointment to BiH Presidency President Izetbegovic. Hand said that the main priority of his government is the DPA implementation and that BiH is a part of Europe.

BiH TV news reporter from Pristina reported on calm situation in Kosovo today. “Reuters” reports that Serbia and Kosovo Albanians are holding “secret” negotiations. The source of “Reutersąs” report is statement of Kosovo Albanians negotiation team leader, Agani, who said for Pristina daily “Koha Ditore” that these “secret” negotiations are taking place today.

Kosovo refugees are arriving to BiH. 176 Kosovo Albanian refugees came to refugee centre in Bosanski Petrovac, which recently accommodated Bosnian refugees arriving from the third countries. Refugees claim to have left the country illegally or paid to leave, and that resident of Bosanski Petrovac are assisting them as much as they can, but that their status is still unresolved.
