The Hague

As it was previously announced, the Hague Tribunal began the new year with the presentation of proofs against Dario Kordic and Mario Cerkez. Radoslav Brdjanin and the General Momir Talic, who appeared in front of the Hague Tribunal today, denied allegations for genocide committed over Bosniaks and Croats in Bosanska Krajina. Travnik

The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Srednja-Bosna Canton, Midhat Zubaca, said that the perpetrators of a bomb attack in Travnik were found. The investigation team arrested two individuals suspected for placing a bomb under a car on January 9th at 8.30 p.m. One of the arrested individuals said that he wanted to revenge to the owner of the car. Sarajevo

One hundred and fifty workers of the “Energoinvest” branch “Livnica” have been on strike for the last month and a half, asking their rights to be fulfilled. He attitude of the “Energoinvest” management towards the workers shows that the employer was not interested in solving the problems workers have been faced with. “Energoinvest” used to be one of the well respected export companies. Gusts of TV INFO – Medical Doctors Faris Gavrankapetanovic and Vladimir Velebit

Whether a cooperation between the Clinical Center of the Sarajevo University and the Head of the project for the development of Sarajevo cardiology, Vladimir Velebit, would be continued after a several months of negotiations? Whether some 750 patients would be operated within a two and a half year period? The BiH Federation Deputy Minister of Health, Faris Gavrankapetanovic, was a guest of TV INFO in the studio in Sarajevo, while doctor Vladimir Velebit answered the questions of TV INFO presenters via live bridge with Geneva. Although there were misunderstandings in respect to the previous talks, both of the guests agreed that they hoped this would be solved soon.

Zagreb

After the resignation of the HDZ party Spokesman, Ivica Ropus, new fraction struggles have been going on in the party. He accused the Acting President of the Party, Vladimir Seks, for unrealistic and dangerous political ambitions and discrediting of party colleagues. Vladimir Seks said that all those who do not respect the discipline and agreements of the party would have to leave it. The report for TV INFO from Zagreb was produced by Gordana Simonovic.

Belgrade

Serbian opposition parties united regarding the request for organising the premature elections in Serbia. The European Commission welcomed this. The opposition parties have also agreed to organise a joint protest gathering against the current Belgrade authorities on March 9th. Russian Army announced intensifying of their attacks as an answer to contra-offensive of Chechen rebels. The Commander of Russian troops announced that the military action in Chechenia would be finished before the presidential elections in Russia scheduled for March 26th. After a week of negotiations, peace talks between Israel and Syria stopped. This was followed by a report on the murder of a militant protestant leader in Northern Ireland. Banja Luka

A piece on the usage of mobile phones in the RS. Although it was planned that the system of mobile phones would cover some 27 towns in the RS, only Banja Luka, Prijedor, Laktasi, Gradiska, Doboj, Brcko, Bijeljina and Spsko Sarajevo have been included in the system. Sarajevo

A report on the meeting between the BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs and Communications with the representatives of the BiH Inter-religious Council. Recently, the Ministry donated 25,000 DEM to the each religious community, member of the Council.
