Yugoslavia

NATO missile hit a bus 20 km North from Pristina, around 1 p.m. Up to now, twenty three bodies were found. The bus was moving across a bridge in the moment it was hit. It was announced, in the NATO Headquarters in Brussels, that an investigation on this event was undergoing.

During the last night, NATO planes hit military communication systems in Yugoslavia. NATO was active in Kosovo as well where they were destroying military targets. Reports on this came from OBN’s reporter in Belgrade.

Visit of the Special Russian Envoy, Viktor Chernomyrdin, to Belgrade, was carefully watched by the West countries. During the weekend, Chernomyrdin will report to his president. After that, he will leave for Paris and London. German Chancellor sad that a political solution could not be reached without Russia.

Montenegrin President, Milo Djukanovic, said that he hoped Montenegro would be discluded fron the oil embargo imposed by the EU and that they were ready to accept international control of oil supplying for Montenegro.

During the broadcast, CNN reported that Milosevic would release three American soldiers captured by the Yugoslav forces.

Skopje

In a refugee camp in Macedonia, Radusa, there are 151 refugees from Srebrenica area. This was reported by the humanitarian organization “Konvoj pomoci” during the OBN’s special broadcast last night. These Bosnian refugees are placed in the camp since 1992. Today, we found out that officials from Sarajevo have visited them twice. Our reporter from Skopje said that they would return to Bosnia, if minimum conditions were provided.

Doboj

The RS railroads syndicate asks for split of railroad cars. The syndicate condemned NATO air strikes against Yugoslavia and pledged their help in reconstruction.

Day of Work

A piece on the celebration of the May 1st, the Day of Work. Reports on the celebration came from Sarajevo and Banja Luka.

This was followed by reports from Kiseljak and Mostar where people also were celebrating. In Mostar, citizens from the both sides of the Neretva river were together.

In Moscow, some 20,000 people demonstrated on the streets against NATO strikes on Yugoslavia. People were gathering on the streets of Paris and Seoul as well.

Prijedor

A piece on economy in Prijedor. Most of citizens do not work. The situation is even harder due to the events in the Federal Republic Yugoslavia because many factories were selling their products in the Yugoslav market.

Bijeljina

A similar report came from Bijeljina. They have also lost their market.

Velika Kladusa

A story on the “Agrokomerc” factory in Velika Kladusa where several thousand employees have been dismissed. There was no reaction of the BiH independent syndicate. Employees are confused.

Great Britain

The British police announced that three persons, suspected for the series of terrorist attacks, including last night’s bomb attack in a London coffee bar when two persons were killed, and more then 70 were wounded, were arrested. About this wave of violence, our reporter in London, Milan Trivic, send his report.

Tuzla

A piece on a deep crisis in functioning of the Tuzla Canton Government.

Novi Travnik

Last night, an international children’s music show was held in Novi Travnik. This is the fourth time the show has been organized. Representatives from 11 countries were present.
