The OHR condemns the recent murder of the young taxi driver and urges the police authorities both in the Republika Srpska and the Federation to take all necessary measures to apprehend the perpetrators of this crime as quickly as possible.
At the same time, the Office of the High Representative joins with UNMIBH in deploring the attack against the UN vehicle by the demonstrators. The High Representative welcomes the prompt action taken by the local police to calm the situation and reminds that violence directed against the International Community, or any other party, does little to solve the crime nor encourages constructive cooperation.
