HR/EUSR Inzko meets SDA President Tihić

The High Representative and EU Special Representative Valentin Inzko met today with the President of SDA, Sulejman Tihić. Congratulating Mr. Tihić on his third mandate as the SDA President, Inzko expressed expectations that Tihić would continue successful cooperation with other partners at the BiH political scene and the international community, for the benefit of all citizens.

During the meeting with SDA president Tihić, HR/EUSR Inzko expressed his support to dialogue and compromise as the only road that will lead BiH forward in the process of Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as his expectation that the “Prud process” will continue. “At this point, our efforts must be focused on resolving issues of state property and finalizing the process with regard to defence property. The meeting of the Peace Implementation Council will take place at the end of June, and the PIC expects to see concrete progress in connection to these issues”, Inzko said, adding that local political leaders are the ones who can and must contribute to positive resolution of these issues.

Inzko informed SDA President Tihić about his priorities in the capacity of the High Representative, which are focused on transformation of OHR into EUSR, and emphasised that the transition can only happen once the five objectives and two conditions set by the Peace Implementation Council have been fulfilled.
