The incumbent works in the Cabinet of the Principal Deputy High Representative (PDHR) under the direct supervision of the Head of PDHR’s Cabinet/Senior Policy Advisor and in close coordination with the Head and Deputy of the High Representative’s Cabinet (HR).

Under the direct supervision of the Head of the Political and Economic Department, the Political Advisor will work on a range of substantive issues in support of the mandate of the High Representative.

OHR initiated an Internship Program a few years ago as a means of providing opportunities for young, motivated students and recent graduates with good academic achievements to gain some work experience during university study or after graduation.

The role is to work in the OHR Press Office in Sarajevo as one of three spokespeople, advising on press policy, and dealing with day to day press work, interviews and statements and press conferences.

The Deputy Head of the Department shall assist the Head of in supporting and advising the High Representative in this role and shall replace him in his/her absence. He/she will support the Head of Department in the daily management of the Department.
