Ambassador Ulrike Hartmann appointed new head of OHR Banja Luka

The High Representative Valentin Inzko has appointed Ambassador Ulrike Hartmann as the new Head of the Office of the High Representative in Banja Luka with effect from 1 September 2013.

Dr Hartmann, as of 2010 acted as the Head of Cabinet of the High Representative and as Special Representative for EU and International Liaison.

During her prior engagements as an Austrian diplomat she served as Deputy Head of the Austrian Embassy in Belgrade from 2001 to 2009 and held postings in Moscow and Lisbon. In 2000 she was a member of the Austrian Delegation to the OSCE.

Dr Hartmann is a graduate of the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna and obtained her PhD at the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Salzburg, with a doctoral thesis on “Public Diplomacy”.
