Vacancies for Two Judicial Posts in the BiH Constitutional Court

The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Republika Srpska has announced an open competition for two members of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to be selected by the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska (RSNA) upon proposal of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Republika Srpska.

In order to be eligible for these posts, an individual must fulfill the following basic requirements, set forth in Art. VI.1. a) and b) of  the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Applicants must be:

·        eligible voters of Bosnia and Herzegovina and

·        distinguished jurists of high moral standing.

“The HJPC of RS is aware of the need to propose the candidates to the RSNA for approval in order to have the Constitutional Court of BiH operational. We want as many applicants as possible for these posts, as with all other posts which the HJPCs have announced vacant. We will choose the best candidates and put them forward as a proposal to the RSNA.” – said Judge Jan Erik Oja, President of the HJPCs.
