Statement
of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina held its eighth session on November 22, 1996.

The Presidency reconfirmed its decision of October 29, 1996 on total immunity of all persons elected to public office on September 14, 1996, and demanded that all legal acts by the authorities of either the Federation or Republika Srpska inconsistent with this decision be immediately withdrawn. All authorities across the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina must act in accordance with the above decision of the Presidency.

The Presidency continued intensive discussions on the organisation of the Council of Ministers and received the new proposals of the High Representative which will be decided upon at the next session.

The Presidency decided to consider already negotiated agreements with international financial institutions and the same will, upon the adoption by the Presidency, be alternately signed in the following order: Izetbegovic, Zubak, Krajisnik.

The Presidency considered the preparations for the Conference in London on 4-5 December, 1996 and the forthcoming OSCE Summit in Lisbon and issued the instructions to the Working Group for foreign policy issues.

The Presidency will deliver to the Office of the High Representative at the latest until day Friday, November 22, 1996, the names of the authorities and experts for the telecommunication meeting scheduled to take place on November 28, 1996 at 1000 hours at the Office of the High Representative. The representatives will be authorized to propose decisions concerning the realization of the telecommunication reconstruction project of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development at the said meeting.

The next two sessions of the Presidency will take place at the National museum in Sarajevo, on Tuesday, November 26, and Thursday, November 28, 1996.
