“It is disappointing that parliamentarians did not take the opportunity today to move forward the Police Laws towards adoption. I expect the Joint BiH Defence and Security Committee not to miss that opportunity and issue a positive report,” said the High Representative and EU Special Representative, Miroslav Lajčák.
The BiH House of Representatives will discuss these laws next week and can ask the Committee to review this decision one more time.
“I would encourage this session to take place as soon as possible, as every day wasted is a day further away from SAA signature. In other words, what is at stake is more than Police Reform itself. The stance that parliamentary parties adopt will decide whether it is possible to open the European Perspective for BiH and its citizens,” said the High Representative and EU Special Representative, Miroslav Lajčák.
