RS President Biljana Plavsic will depart for London for a few days. During her stay she will meet with Foreign Minister Cook, representatives of the World bank and other government organisations involved in the programme of reconstruction for the RS.

RS Prime Minister Dodik and the Minister for Foreign Economic Affairs, Savo Loncar, held a press conference today. “We leave for the Brussels Donors’ Conference with optimism and, regarding the division of resources for reconstruction and development between the RS and FBiH, we expect the imbalance from previous conferences to be corrected,” said Dodik.

The CoM co-chairmen, Boro Bosic and Haris Silajdzic, confirmed that the documentation and presentation of the BiH delegation for the forthcoming donors’ conference had been fully prepared. They also expressed the hope for a positive outcome to this gathering.

The HR, Carlos Westendorp, is in Drvar today, where he is discussing the restructuring of the local police with representatives of the local and cantonal authorities. 15 Serb policemen will join the cantonal police in Drvar on May 9, it was confirmed by HR Westendorp after separate hour-long talks with the Serb deputies in the municipal council and representatives of the local Croatian and cantonal authorities. Westendorp added that the chief of the local police in Drvar will be a Croat and his deputy a Serb. He stressed that Canton 10 authorities had assumed responsibility for implementation of the agreed obligations.

The Provisional Election Commission adopted a set of new rules and regulations which are to regulate the organisation and holding of the general elections in September and all future elections until the coming into force of the permanent Election Law.
