At today’s meeting of a delegation of pensioners with Deputy PM, Tihomir Gligoric, and Minister of Health, Zeljko Rodic, the pensioners requested pensions to be harmonised with labour costs. The RS Government offered payment of two pensions (June and July) in a week and 100 dinars of single assistance to the pensioners.

President Plavsic and Deputy HR, Jacques Klein, met in Banja Luka today. Klein commended the new authorities and called on the voters to vote for the changes made by these authorities.

According to information released by the Hague Tribunal, the post-mortem of Dr. Milan Kovacevic, with participation of the pathologist from Banja Luka, Dr. Zeljko Karan, should be completed today. The funeral will take place on Thursday afternoon, according to the Mayor of Prijedor Municipality, Borislav Maric. “At the request of numerous citizens, the body will be displayed at the building of the Municipal Assembly”, said Maric.

The Ministry of Health issued a press release today stating that the Ministry was already in the process of preparing a delegation to monitor the health of indictees of the Hague Tribunal, before the death of Dr. Kovacevic. The Ministry had already received some verbal complaints, as well as one letter, about medical treatment at the Tribunal prison.

President Plavsic and Deputy PM, Ostoja Kremenovic, met with representatives of the Board of Milici (Eastern RS) municipality, in Banja Luka today. The Deputy PM expressed his pleasure about the functioning of the newly elected Board and promised assistance from the RS Government.

The RS Financial Police brought criminal charges in the High Public Prosecutor’s Office in Srpsko Sarajevo against the former Minister of Defence, Milan Ninkovic. The charges are based on suspicion that, while he was a Minister, Ninkovic once took $80,000 and then DM 8, 790,000 from the Republic Defence Fund. (comprehensive report in Nezavisne Novine).
