The SDS Main Board appointed Dragan Kalinic as President of the Party. Dragan Cavic was appointed Deputy to Mr. Kalinic. The member of the B&H Presidency from the RS and the member of the Main Board of SDS, Momcilo Krajisnik, expressed his regret at the resignation of the former President of the Presidency of SDS, Mr. Buha, saying that he had decided to resign due to personal (family) reasons.

We have just received information that the former President of the Presidency of the SDS, Aleksa Buha, has denied that the reasons for his resignation were his “family duties”. Commenting on the statement by the member of the B&H Presidency from the RS, Momcilo Krajisnik, in an interview for BK TV, Mr. Buha stated that the reason for his resignation was caused by “the relentless need of Mr. Krajisnik to interfere, on his own, in things which are not his business,” and which, according to Buha had been creating problems even earlier. “Although there was an agreement that both myself and the Party should refrain from any new statements before the September elections, Mr. Krajisnik by this statement of his deludes the public. However, in my political performance I stick to the Constitution, the law and the documents of the Party,” Buha stated. Mr. Buha illustrated Mr. Krajisnik’s political autocracy by such examples as the signing of the Agreement on Special Parallel Relations with the FRY in March last year, the organising of the omni-Serb rally in September last year in Banja Luka, the signing of the agreement on special parliamentary elections in November last year, the negotiations on the admission of three Ministers from the SDS into the Government of Prime Minister Dodik in April this year, and the negotiations on the Coalition with Radicals, without any platform approved by the Party.
“All these responsibilities go beyond the capacity of Mr. Krajisnik’s function. By them he seriously damaged both the SDS and RS,” Buha assessed and added:
“I was striving to stop such damaging activity through the Presidency and the Main Board. Unfortunately, I failed. Hopefully, the new chairman of the Presidency of SDS, Dragan Kalinic, will be more successful.”.
