“The OSCE informed the public that preliminary electoral results will not be released, but only the final official results, by the end of next week. The release of preliminary results announced for yesterday and then postponed raised tensions in the RS. There is no doubt that the greatest attention will be drawn by the latest news that the presidential candidate of the SDS and SRS, Nikola Poplasen, will have to appear before the Appeals Court, as he is accused of violating the electoral silence. That is the decision of the Media Experts Commission from a meeting lasting several hours today in Sarajevo. ” (quote of the news editorial) The Commission concluded that as Vojislav Seselj violated the electoral silence on September 11th, the PEC rules were practically violated by Poplasen in his interview on September 12th on TV Palma (Belgrade TV Station), transmitted by Radio TV Serbia and its satellite programme. The Commission rejected the letters from Dragan Kalinic and Poplasen that arrived during the meeting, considering those to be without argument. The same happened with the letter from Serbian Minister of Information, Aleksandar Vucic, which came at the same time and the comment of the Commission was that he is the Secretary of the Radical Party of Serbia. Both letters are of about the same content, trying to explain that Mr. Poplasen had no influence on transmitting the interview. The judges of the Appeals Court will announce their decision on Friday.

RS Member of the BiH Presidency, Momcilo Krajisnik, expressed concern about a large number of invalid ballots and stalling of release of electoral results. “The Serb people decided and they gave their votes to the SDS and the SRS, Coalition and its candidates. I hope that the Serb vote will be respected and that the OSCE and international forces will not allow that will to be disrespected” said Krajisnik. He said that it would be a pity if the elections were annulled, as there is no justified reason for such a step. “One cannot be called a Serb representative if he/she got his/her votes from the bags” said Krajisnik.
