At least 100 people were killed in last night’s attack on a convoy of about 600 Albanian refugees in the village of Korisa near Prizren, SRNA reported today. According to the same source, and on the basis of witness statements, the bombing of the refugee convoy lasted from midnight until 3:00 a.m. There followed a more detailed report on this attack, as well as reports of the Srna correspondents from Pristina and Belgrade on the consequences of today’s NATO air strikes.

At today’s meeting, chaired by the FRY President Slobodan Milosevic, the highest FRY leadership assessed that last night’s bombardment of Albanian refugees was one more in a series of NATO crimes, Beta reported.

The UN Security Council, even tonight, did not adopt an official resolution on the NATO bombing of the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade.

The UN Secretary General Kofi Annan in Geneva last night introduced his two envoys for Kosovo, the former Swedish Prime Minister, Carl Bildt, and Slovak Foreign Minister, Eduard Kukan.

The leader of the Kosovo Democratic Union, Ibrahim Rugova, met in London with the British Foreign Minister Robin Cook. “My aim is to coordinate and organise the political life of Kosmet since now all the Albanian officials are out of the province”, Rugova stated after the meeting.

The wife of the U. S. President Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, visited the Albanian refugee camps today.

The President of China agreed to talk with U.S. President Bill Clinton after yesterday’s meeting of the U.S. President with the Chinese Ambassador to the USA.

A two-day international forum began in Moscow today under the working title “For the culture of peace and dialogue among civilizations in the third millennium” which is also attended by RS representatives, more precisely a delegation from Banja Luka. There followed a more detailed report.

News just received: Western countries have made a draft resolution on Kosovo, which will be submitted to the UN Security Council within ten days. According to official sources in London, they will discuss this draft with Russia on Monday.

The Head of the UN Mission to BiH, Elizabeth Rehn, visited Banja Luka today, where she met with the BiH Presidency Chairman Zivko Radisic, the RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik and the RS Interior Minister Sredoje Novic, as well as with representatives of the Serb Intellectual Forum. Afterwards, Rehn held a press conference. Thre followed a more detailed report on the visit.

The RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik talked in Banja Luka today with the U. S. Ambassador to BiH Richard Kauzlarich. The main discussed issue was the forthcoming Donors’ Conference.

The third special session of the RS NA will be held in Banja Luka on Tuesday, May 18, starting at 11:00 hr, it was stated in Brcko today.

The RS President Nikola Poplasen, dismissed by the High Representative, paid a visit to Kalinovik and other Herzegovina municipalities today.

At a press conference of the RS Government, which was held in Banja Luka today, it was stated that a delegation of the RS Government is ready to attend the fifth Donors’ Conference, which is to take place on May 20-21 in Brussels.

Representatives of the OHR and the RS Government held a round table today and discussed the possibilities for solving the economic crisis in the RS. A more detailed report followed.

The HR to BiH Carlos Westendorp appointed a member of the French State Council and former member of the European Parliament, Francois Froment-Meurice, his special political advisor and chair of the Working Group for the finalisation of the election law of BiH.
