The first day of RS NA session finished 15 min ago. Discussion on the agenda lasted for a whole day, but it was finally agreed. The agenda consists of 26 items. It is expected that the session will be continued tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. and will last until Thursday. Special attention at tomorrow’s session will be paid to the Prime Minister’s report on the work of the Government in the period from January 19 to April 29 and on the work of the Serb members in the joint institutions.

The RS Minister of Defence, Manojlo Milovanovic, and the Head of the VRS HQ, General Momir Talic, laid wreaths on the graves of deceased VRS soldiers in the city cemetery in Banjaluka today.

The RS NA Speaker, Dragan Kalinic, assessed the progress of today’s session for the SRT: “This is a heavy price for democracy and learning of democracy…I am satisfied that we have finished this part of job at least, and agreed upon the agenda. I think that real political conflicts will start tomorrow and continue until the day after tomorrow.”

According to some unofficial resources, the RS Ministry of Interior has initiated criminal proceedings against Gojko Klickovic, the former RS Prime Minister. Details are to be announced tomorrow.

We note the regular press conferences of the international organisations in Banjaluka and Sarajevo: At the press conference held in Banjaluka the UNHCR spokesperson stated that UNHCR condemned the incident that happened in Sanica near Kljuc when a group of Muslims stoned a bus full of Serbs.

Simon Haselock, the OHR spokesperson, stated at the Sarajevo press conference that the new RS Government was faced with the serious task of bringing in legislation that would ensure the transfer from a centralistic economy to the free market economy.
