News Summary

SNS requests response to Izetbegovic’s inflammatory language

The SNS has requested the OSCE Election Appeals Sub-Commission (EASC) to undertake measures against SDA President Alija IzetbegOvic in accordance with the PEC Rules and Regulations. The SNS says that Izetbegovic, during a SDA rally in Sarajevo, said that their enemies were not opposition parties but Chetniks and Ustashes. Izetbegovic also said that the main SDA objective was a strong Bosniak people in a strong BiH. Therefore, according to the SNS, Izetbegovic violated the rule that participants in pre-election campaigns must refrain from inflammatory and hate language that incites supporters to violence.
