BiH President Izetbegovic decorated French philosopher, Levy with the Silver Medal of Bosnian Coat of Arms. Izetbegovic thanked Levy for everything that he has done for Bosnia and said that Bosnia will continue to develop in accordance with ideals of freedom and tolerance.

BiH delegation, headed by BiH President Izetbegovic will visit Slovenia tomorrow. As said by FA Minister Prlic, the purpose of the visit is to discuss, among other things, the matters of bilateral relations, succession and economy.

US Congressmen delegation and US Ambassador, Kauzlarich visited Mostar today. The delegation met with Mostar officials and discussed the matters of refugee return to Mostar and further work of the Federation Forum. A matter of the legal system in the Canton was also discussed as well as Canton Privatisation Agency and Cantonal ministries.

Federation Prime Minister Bicakcic met with the US Congressmen, and US Ambassador Kauzlarich. The main subjects of the discussion were the Federal standpoint in regard with Brcko, results of the “Train and Equip” programme, preparations for the privatisation process and creating conditions for quicker refugee return.

Member of the BiH Central Bank Managing Board, Pelivan refuted the statement of CoM Co-president Bosic, who said that BiH National Bank made an intrusion in BiH financial system with 30 million DEM, and thus devaluated the new Convertible Mark. Pelivan said that every printed bank note is covered by adequate amount of DEM.

BiH Presidency member Zubak met with BiH Central Bank Governor, Nicole, with the presence of the Zubak’s Cabinet representative, Raguz and OHR Economic Dept head, Fau. The main subject of the discussion was functioning of the BiH CB, in accordance with DPA.

Serbs blocked the traffic at three locations around Sarajevo. 50-60 people rebuilt a wall on Dobrinja, at the same place as several months ago. The other blockade was put at the Lukavica crossroads, and the third was set at the Sarajevo-Pale road. As said by SFOR spokesman, Garnaud, the organisers of this protest may be “Ilidza Fighters Association”.

NATO soldiers arrested two Serb war crimes indictees, said White House spokesman, Rubin. The two Serbs are Mladen Radic and Miroslav Kvocka.

Chief of the UN Mission in BiH, Rehn said that she believes that Radovan Karadzic might soon face the Hague Tribunal. Rehn added that Karadzic’s popularity vanishes, and people who supported him do not have the influence any longer. Rehn also said that she do not believe in rumours that Karadzic escaped to Russia.

Serbian police restarted attack in Kosovo Drenica region. As said by BiH TV News reporter, Serbian helicopters are flying over Pristina. Because of blockade of the area, there is no reports on possible casualties in the shooting.
