Reduction in the regular supply of electric power has caused anxiety amongst citizens who frequently called the TV BH studio to protest, underlined the report. The main supplier “Elektroprivreda” company convened a press conference to explain why the reduction was introduced. According to the Elektroprivreda officials, the main reason is a failure of a thermo power plant in Tuzla due to excessive consumption of electricity. However, the regular supply of electricity would be restored tomorrow but “electricity rates will have to be increased in order to discourage excessive consumption”, pointed the company’s officials.

At its session today, the FBH House of Representatives reviewed the security situation in the FBH. While FBH Interior Minister Mehmed Zilic insisted that “all political institutions have to be involved in the resolution of the problem of terrorism” and that “only fully restructured joint police forces can efficiently fight against terrorism”, the HDZ deputies expressed reservations towards the Federation institutions and in particular towards the authorities of the Central Bosnian Canton. In an official statement related to the latest murder in the place Nula, near Travnik, the HDZ deputies called for an urgent intervention of IPTF.

26 deputies posed various questions covering a large scope of political and economic subjects: ranging from the issue of inter-entity railway traffic which raises questions of legitimacy of the RS and Herzeg-Bosnia railway systems, building of the airport in Visoko, privatisation of some companies, to electricity and PTT rates.
