Turkish court sentenced Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan to death. The sentence is to be verified by the Turkish Supreme Court, the Turkish Parliament and President Demirel.

BiH Presidency members held a working session and determined that BiH lawsuit against Yugoslavia from 1993 is not disputable. The only thing disputable is the process after the Dayton, and all appointments occurred in this period, including appointments of co-agents in the Hague, involved in this process.

German Councilor Schroeder addressed a letter to BiH Presidency Chairman, Jelavic on the first Stability Pact meeting that is to be held in Sarajevo. Schroeder confirms the meeting in Sarajevo and says tat German Government is ready to assist in every possible way in order to hold this meeting. Schroeder also announced his Advisor Steiner’s arrival to Sarajevo on Friday 2 July, in order to discuss the summit issues with the BiH Presidency members.

Secretary of the State in the German Government, Bodo Hombach has been appointed for the coordinator of the Stability Pact for Southeast Europe. The European Union leaders also agreed to appoint Austrian Wolfgang Petrich for Carlos Westendorp’s successor in BiH. RTV BiH also attempted to get a statement from Mr. Westendorp on this issue, but he said he has no official position.

Turkish Court sentenced Kurdish leader Ocalan to death. Ocalan was found guilty for treason and attempt of secession. The court discarded all extenuating circumstances that would replace the death sentence with imprisonment for life. The decision is to be verified by the Parliament and the Turkish Supreme Court.

Kosovo Liberation Army members fulfilled the ultimatum to determine the storage for giving in of weapons. According to KFOR, weapons will not be destroyed just in case they are needed again. Return of Albanians to Kosovo, organised by UNHCR continues. Thousands of Serbians are demonstrating with demands to replace Milosevic. China refuted the claims that they offered political asylum to Milosevic, as published by German press.

Municipality Assembly of Srebrenica held a session today. It was accepted that Srebrenica be defined as basic social-political community, based on authorities of all its citizens with full rights in this municipality, and not like so far, as a social-political community of Serb and other nations.

European Commission invested 6 million marks in reconstruction of houses in Delijas. 129 Bosniak and 10 Serb houses were reconstructed, as well as school, ambulance and 6 flats for teachers.
