Adana – More than 100 people died and over 1500 were wounded in the earthquake which hit southern parts of the Republic of Turkey yesterday. At the epicentre, near Adana, its intensity was 6,3 on the Richter scale. The first earthquake was followed by 40 smaller after-shocks.

Cran Montana – Richard Holbrooke, US President Clinton’s Special Envoy for Kosovo and US Ambassador to the UN confirmed today that Washington had the first official talks with leaders of the Liberation Army of Kosovo. Holbrooke warned that Europe was only a few steps away from general war and directly accused Milosevic for it. According to the majority of us the prime responsibility for war in Kosovo lies with Belgrade and its Government’s actions in the last ten years, he said.

Slatina, Kosovo – Very strong powers of the Yugoslav Army are concentrated in Slatina, near the airport. Yugoslav helicopters rocketed the four positions of Liberation Army in the Municipality Malisevo yesterday.

Sarajevo – Articles due to appear in the newspapers for the first time on July 6, reveal the presence of Special American Units on our territories since last year. They have only one task – arresting the war crimes indicted. This secret operation is worth 50 million dollars, Reuters carries information by US News and world report in the 6 July issue. SFOR Headquarters in Sarajevo refused to comment on the existence of a secret military mission in BiH.

Ajvatovica – Nearly 100 thousand believers today paid a visit to the biggest pilgrimage of Moslems in Europe – Ajvatovica. It was the 489th pilgrimage and the first in which women also took part. Mustafa ef. Ceric, Reis Ul Ulema of the Islamic Community held a speech at the location.
