Brussels – SFOR powers might begin its withdrawal from BiH if the situation in our country continues to be satisfactory after the September elections, NATO Headquarters in Brussels announced. A new 30,000 force mission named Joint Breakthrough will focus on de-mining, refugee return, solving of Brcko status, prevention of corruption and arresting of the war crime indicted persons.

Sarajevo – The Central Informative System for Data Processing was formally opened by Edhem Bicakcic, in Sarajevo today. The system is identical with the Slovenian one which had many positive effects on the privatisation process, Adem Mujagic, Privatisation Agency Director told the press. The system funded by USAID will process three sorts of demands: General demand, foreign exchange issues and non-paid salaries of Bosnian Army and Police members.

Sarajevo – An Agreement for the production of licence plates for the Sarajevo Canton has been signed, Federal Ministry for Internal Affairs Spokesman announced today. So the problem which was a theme of the correspondence between the High Representative for BiH and Federal Ministry for Internal Affairs has been solved. The issuing of the new licence plates also started in the Central Bosnian Canton.

Sarajevo – An Agreement on funding a Special Course for the Federation Police on the stopping of public disorders was signed in Sarajevo. The Agreement was signed by US Ambassador to BiH Richard Kauzlarich and Federation Prime Minister Edhem Bicakcic. The document should help further police power reconstruction, said Kauzlarich and promised further co-operation in strengthening democratic police powers in BiH Federation, but also in RS.

Mostar – The Italian Government pledged 300,000 DEM for the planning in Mostar. This was confirmed during a meeting between Italian representative and Mostar Mayor.

The Cantonal Government convened in Mostar but failed to agree on the use of the unique Law of the Seal. The Croatian standpoint is that two separate seals should exist: One in Croatian and one in the Bosnian language. The Law of the Seal which was accepted by the Assembly 18 months ago, foresees only one Seal in two languages.

Travnik – The employees in the Remontni Zavod in Travnik stopped their strike. Yet more than 30,000 teachers from primary and secondary schools in the Central Bosnian Canton began a general strike.
