Presidency member Zubak is leaving the HDZ and establishing a new party which will be called Bosnian and Herzegovinian HDZ. The new party will stand for basic HDZ principles and return of all Croats to their homes. Zubak also gained support from Minister of Finances Bilandzija, Vice Minister in CoM Grabovac, Minister of Justice Tadic, State Parliament representative Lozancic, Bozo and Mariofil Ljubic, and HDZ Posavina led by Iko Stanic.

Qatar Emir Altani finished official visit to BiH. Joint statement was given by Altani and BiH Presidency President Izetbegovic and said that three bilateral agreements were signed about economic relationship, joint investments and civilian air traffic.

Izetbegovic also received EU Mission Chief, Chiarini in his farewell visit. Izetbegovic also received Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran, Taherian. Presidency member Zubak met with US Ambassador deputy Senkow, discussing the matters of current situation in BiH, DPA implementation and matters of police establishment in the BiH Federation. BiH FA Minister Prlic met with OSCE Mission Chief, Barry discussing, among other things, matters of preparations for the forthcoming elections.

Brcko Supervisor Farrand met with Federation President Ganic, Ministers Morankic and Kadic and the RS Prime Minister Dodik, discussing the matters of multiethnic administration, and Dodik informed on changes occurred in RS politics. The matter of both-ways return was also discussed.

Federation Government held a session today in Sarajevo, discussing the matters of minimum wages and agreed draft law on social protection of civilian victims of war and families with children, and the draft law on determining the claims of citizens created during the war and its compensation.

Prime Minister Bicakcic met with German Minister of Defense, Ruehe, and main subjects of the meeting were strengthening of peace, refugee return and military cooperation between the two countries. Ruehe also visited Travnik, in the presence of Mediator for BiH Schwartz-Schilling and German Special Envoy for Refugees Schlee.

RS Prime Minister Dodik visited Zagreb, meeting with Croatian Prime Minister Matesa, and FA Minister Granic. Protocol on both-ways refugee return was determined as well as the agreement on economic relations which are supposed to be signed within a week.

UN spokesman Ivanko announced that UN Mission in BiH intents to object to the Peace Implementation Council on Republic of Croatia and Croat representatives in BiH who disrespect of HR Westendorp’s decision in regard with registration plates that says that no vehicle without new registration plates will be able to leave the country as of June 1. Ivanko said that more that 200 UN officials are monitoring several BiH borderlines, and according to their reports, Croat police refuses to stop vehicles with inappropriate registration plates, including Herceg Bosna reg plates. OHR spokesman Haselock said that in Prozor Mostar and other Croat majority towns, plates are being paid significantly higher than it was determined, and that invalid vehicle registration documents are being issued.

World agencies report on very difficult situation in Kosovo region. According to some media, the town of Decani survived the fate of Vukovar after attacks of Serbian forces. According to statements of witnesses, Serb forces massacred 11 men in the presence of women and children, in the village of Prokle near Glogovac.
