HR Westendorp will pass the decision on BiH Coat of Arms, as said by OHR spokesman Aisling Byrne, due to failure of both houses of the BiH Parliament to adopt the decision. Byrne said that more specific standpoint of refusal of both BiH Parliament Houses to adopt the Coat of Arms can be expected tomorrow.

Federal Privatisation Agency regulated the forms for enterprises that are taking part in the privatisation process. The forms are published in the Official Gazette from May 11 1998, and enterprises are obliged to deliver the forms to the Canton agencies, except for Central Bosnian and Herzegovina/Neretva canton.

CoM session was held today, discussing, among other things, the matters of issuing of the new passports. CoM Co-chairman Bosic said that issuing of new passports will begin on May 29 1998, simultaneously in Sarajevo and Banja Luka. Except for this, the CoM also named officials of the Ministry for Civilian Affairs, and also discussed economic relations with Croatia and FRY.

Yugoslav army and Police keep shelling villages in Kosovo. Last night, Serbian forces also attacked villages of Morina near the Albanian with rocket launchers. There is no information about possible casualties. Serbian police also confiscated a contingent of International aid for people of Djakovica. ‘ Reuters agency confirmed that the prime candidate for the new FRY Prime Minister will be Milosevic’s friend and former Monte Negro President, Bulatovic.

Representatives of the Mostar City met with OHR representatives, discussing the matters of project for reconstruction that will compete for EU revenues, approved at the recent Donors Conference in Brussels. Mostar Mayor Orucevic said that EU already approved revenues for reconstruction of 100 Croat houses in Sjever (North) Municipality. A letter was also addressed to the EU representatives, Chiarinni and Baccareli, with demand to present all so far invested revenues with the presence of EU administration in Mostar.

During her visit to Washington, RS President Plavsic showed with her statements that she did not significantly move from former standpoints. The RS cannot extradite war criminals, according to its Constitution, and Bosniaks are preventing return of Serbs to Sarajevo, said Plavsic.

Canton Sarajevo Government held a session, discussing the matters of information on return. Members of the Government adopted several conclusions to be implemented in order to speed the return process. Sarajevo Canton President said that Government is satisfied with number of applications for return, but not with actual number of returns.
