After 2-day session the Federation House of Representatives adopted the Federation RTV draft law. TV BiH reports from the spot that out of 6 amendments the House adopted 5, including the amendment to article 71 of the law proposed by Deputy Cengic. The reporter said the amendment regulates property relations between the Federation and the BiH TV in a precise way, and quotes the amendment. “Within 60 days from the adoption of the law the TV BiH will find modi to rent its property to the Federation TV, while out of total amount of collected revenues the BiH TV will transfer to the Federation TV 70%…” The law was voted through by 73 yes-votes. The reporter reports that the HDZ was against the law, and that HDZ representatives said they would not accept the law, which differs from the version agreed upon by Federation Prime Minister and his Deputy. Mirsad Purivatra, the TV BIH Director, told the reporter the adoption of the law represents the first encouraging step towards establishment of overall TV BiH broadcast service and, of course, the Federation TV.

The Croatian TV (HRT) will stop transmitting three US produced series as the TV BIH purchased exclusive rights to transmit them. HRT will also start negotiating with the TV BiH on a purchase of transmission rights in sport programs.

The BiH Presidency Chair Jelavic met yesterday with a delegation of Council of Europe. BiH Foreign Minister Prlic also met with the delegation, and gave the statement that Stability Pact summit will contribute to BiH integration into European framework.

The Commission for inter-border dispute between the BiH and Croatia will soon complete its work. That was said after yesterday’s meeting between Principal Deputy HR Jacques Paul Klein and Co-chairs of BiH Council of Ministers, including Foreign Minister Prlic. The Commission will resume its activities on July 7 after they consult with their respective governments. Soon after that date the basics of a final agreement and possible initials on it will follow.

The BiH Council of Ministers held a session at which they bid their farewell to Deputy HR Schumacher. They agreed that entities’ Prime Ministers will attend sessions of the Council once each month. The Council decided to accept the World Bank credits to the BiH as well as to adopt a MoU between the European Commission and the BiH.
