Western media speculate with information that FRY President Milosevic will not lead the negotiation team in the peace negotiations in Paris. “New York Times” correspondent from Belgrade says that Milosevic cannot travel to the West, for he is afraid of sealed indictments from the Hague.

Maksimilijan Colo turned himself in to the police station Ilidza, and admitted he was distributing posters called Petition to Westendorp and the World on Friday January 29. Colo said he got three posters from the President of Association of Invalids of the Patriotic War for Ilidza municipality, Ivo Petrovic, who got the posters from Mostar.

Federation premier Bicakcic met with US Ambassador Kauzlarich, discussing the activities regarding BiH entry to the Council of Europe. US Ambassador Kauzlarich said that respect of human rights and freedom is one of the most important conditions for joining European institutions.

HR Principal Deputy, Jacques Klein sent a letter last week to Chairmen of two Houses of the BiH Parliament Assembly Genjac and Soljic, in which he warns, on obligations from the Madrid Declaration regarding the BiH joint institutions establishment, and says that parliament services “must be fully functional by February 1.” The House of People established its commissions last Thursday, while the House of Representatives is supposed to do that the day after tomorrow.

2000 people, mostly Bosniaks, returned to Doboj so far. Doboj refugees and DP’s held a meeting, organised by refugee associations from Zenica and Doboj East. RTV BiH brought interviews with refuges present at the meeting who expressed their willingness to return to Doboj. Possibility of joint investments to a company that would employ war invalids from the RS and Federation was also discussed.

Association of Refugees for Bosnia and Herzegovina held a meeting in Zenica, discussing possibilities of supporting the return programme of the International Community for this year, which covers about 120.000 returns, as well as presentation of return programmes of local associations.

SFOR Multinational Division North armoured vehicles and tanks blocked the streets around the Zenica Prison. After the blockade, about 20 IPTF members entered the building. IPTF representatives said this was a routine control but they could not offer detailed information. The blockade lasted for about four hours.

Identification of exhumed victims from the Hrastova Glavica mass grave continues in very difficult circumstances. 12 victims were identified so far, and about 80 bodies have been anthropologically processed and prepared for identifications.
