Montenegro

According to the report of the Vice President of the Montenegrin Government, Dragisa Burzan, for TV INFO, the Yugoslav Army and Police intensified tensions in Montenegro, especially in the area of border crossings towards Albania. Mr.Burzan said that the Montenegrin borders are currently controlled by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro and that the traffic movement was normal. He added that the Yugoslav Army has been creating a psychological pressure on Montenegro in order to provoke Montenegrin authorities to start a conflict. Mr.Burzan also said that he did not expect war to be waged in the area.

The Hague

The trials of Kvocka, Kos, Radic and Zigic, indicted for war crimes committed in the Prijedor area, in the concentration camps of Omarska, Keraterm and Trnopolje, started before the Hague Tribunal today. The prosecutor said that they were a part of the exile campaign. Also, they are indicted for issuing commands. The report was produced by OBN reporter, Gordana Frimel.

Turkey

Two days ago, Turkey had a harsh reaction to the fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina had established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Cyprus and that BiH would open an Embassy in the Greek part of the island. The reaction of Turkey was made just after a successful visit of the BiH Federation Prime Minister to Turkey and five months after the establishing of diplomatic relations with Nicosia. The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in BiH, Ahmet Erozan, said that the issue of Cyprus was one of the most important problems in Turkey and that they were very disappointed with this decision of the BiH authorities. World

In Kosovo, new incidents occurred. A bus, without passengers on board, ran into a mine between Kosovska Mitrovica and Zvecani. There were no casualties. KFOR and the UN police started an investigation. In the South of Chechenia, the Russian Army continued its action against two thousand Chechen rebels. Negotiations between Israel and Palestine on the ways of handing over 6% of the West Bank have been stopped again. At least 125 people were killed in floods in Mozambique over the weekend. Mostar

Last night, eight kilos of marihuana were confiscated in an action of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Hercegovina-Neretva Canton. The drug was for the Croatian market. Three individuals were arrested, Senad Efica confirmed for TV INFO from Mostar.

Sarajevo / Gorazde

Eight hundred workers of the “Marketi” sales company from Sarajevo have not received their salaries for the last ten months. They announced going on a general strike tomorrow if the Government of the BiH Federation does not come out with a concrete suggestion for the solving of their problems. Workers of the Gorazde company “Unis Gomas” decided to freeze the strike twenty days after the beginning. They decided to come back to their jobs until the deadline for fulfilling of their demands expires. The report was produced by OBN reporter Amarildo Gutic from Gorazde and Sefko Bajic from Sarajevo.

Mostar

This was followed by an item on the problems the Mostar factory “Aluminij” are facing. Two days ago, a facility in the Sibenik company, worth 8 million DEM, was destroyed. Having in mind that these companies are connected, this will affect the Mostar company “Aluminij”. Director of the company, Mijo Brajkovic, explained the problem for TV INFO.

Banja Luka

Approximately one million and one hundred thousand RS citizens have been registered for participation in the process of privatisation. However, the number of the companies which have not submitted their privatisation proposals is still large. The Privatisation Hub announced that the privatisation of the so called “Strategical companies” would be made according to the special program of the RS Government. Dubrave

A piece on the start of agriculture production in a returnee village Dubrave and establishment of the water supply system was produced by OBN reporter from the area, Enes Ratkusic.

Sarajevo

The annual profit made from the registration of the vehicles in the BiH Federation is 20 million DEM. This money is supposed to be used for the reconstruction of traffic and communication lines. However, ministers from the BiH Federation Government say that the funds are directed to the joint account of the Government. The report was produced by OBN reporter, Slobodan Maksimovic.
