Turkey

In the area of disastrous earthquake in North West Turkey, search for missing people gradually stops. Currently, main task is to provide shelter for victims and to stop spreading of contagious diseases. According to the official Turkish sources, number of dead increased to 12,040 people. Another 33,500 victims are still under ruins. The report was produced by OBN journalist, Gordana Frimel.

Kosovo

In Kosovo, KFOR searches houses, confiscate weapons and documents in order to find evidences for organised crime. One Serb was killed and another wounded in a village, 20 km from Mitrovica. This was followed by a report on difficult economic situation in Yugoslavia. The report on this was produced by OBN journalist, Slobodan Maksimovic.

World

According to the Russian sources, Russian troops were successful in fights between Russian troops and Muslim rebels in Dagestan.

A piece on fire in a plane landed to the airport in Hong Kong where ten people were wounded was followed by a report on the severe hurricane in Miami, USA, where 7,000 people were evacuated.

Kreka Djurdjevik Mine

A report on the problems that miners from the Kreka Djurdjevik Mine facing. Managers from the mine said that the difficult situation recently caused by flood in this area could become even more difficult if financial support of several million DEM was not provided, OBN reporter, Damir Kaletovic, confirmed.

Cazin

Recently conducted action of the BiH Federal inspectors has shown that only three out of twenty four companies from the oil industry in the Una Sana Canton owe to the state sales taxes worth three million DEM. A report on this was produced by OBN reporter from the area, Azra Bajric.

Process of Return

A report on continuation of return of Bosniaks to the Nevesinje Municipality in the RS. Approximately 150 pre-war inhabitants of the Hrusta village returned to their homes.

This was followed by a report on the return of Bosniaks to the Glinje village in the RS where problems regarding the return occured. Although the authorities approved return of the pre-war inhabitants, current inhabitants did not want to accept their old neighbours. A report on this was produced by OBN reporter from the area, Zeljko Pantelic.

Travnik

Two days ago, Association of the Expelled Croats in Travnik organised a warning protest. During the war, 19,000 Croats were expelled from the town and only 5,000 of them returned to their pre-war houses. A report on this was produced by OBN reporter, Amarildo Gutic.

Banja Luka

A piece on a refugee family from Banja Luka who want to visit their dead relatives, buried near Bihac and to return to the village where they lived before the war.

Koraj

A piece on cooperation between Bosniaks, who returned to the Kalat village in Koraj, and their neighbours, Serbs. All of them are facing similar economic problems.

Sarajevo

During the third day of the Sarajevo Film Festival, ten films were shown. Participants of the Festival, journalists, producers and directors, visited today front lines in Sarajevo.

Sport

A report on the local football matches was followed by reports on the International Athletic Championship, tennis tournaments in the USA and the World Cup in volleyball.
