Representatives of three pension funds signed an agreement on their mutual rights and obligations. Each fund will provide pensions for pensioners who live in its area. Reported by Mirna Sadikovic.

The B&H Presidency member, Zivko Radisic started new consultations with RS parties concerning a new candidate for the Chairman of the Council of Ministers. “According to the election results, this position should belong to a SDS member”, said Mirko Banjac, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the B&H Parliamentary Assembly.The report was produced by Dragan Stanimirovic.

The Federation House of Commons session was interrupted today. Croat representatives demanded that the new Constitutional Court members would be appointed today. According to the Constitution, the Federation President and his Deputy should appoint the Court members, and the House of Commons should confirm their decision. The 100th RS Government session took place today. A report on the Government’s work between 19th January 1998 and 30th April 2000 has been submitted to the RS Assembly. Reported by Tatjana Lajsic.

Sarajevo

The Sarajevo Canton Privatisation Agency will repeat the procedure regarding the sale of the “Marsal” hotel on the mountain of Bjelasnica. Sefik Dzindo and Aziz Tukulj, the alledged new owners of the hotel still haven’t proved that they have enough funds to purchase it. Another reason for cancellation of the purchase was that the public company “Energoinvest” actually was a real buyer. “A public company cannot participate in the privatisation process”, said Sevkija Okeric, the Director of the Sarajevo Canton Privatisation Agency. Agreements on co-operation between the “Elektroprivreda B&H” and the Croatian “Elektroprivreda” were signed today in Sarajevo. They also signed an agreement on exchange of electricity. Reported by Anes Alic.

Belgrade

Serbian opposition parties continue their protests, after the Government took over control of the “Studio B” and a few other media. The protests are taking place in Belgrade, Kragujevac, Novi Sad, Nis and several other cities. About 30 000 people protested in Belgrade last night. A session of the City Assembly didn’t take place today. The Mayor of Belgrade said that the session couldn’t take place because 10 bodyguards of Vojislav Seselj were present. RS citizens are not interested much in the current situation in Serbia. Most of them agree that the regime in Belgrade should be replaced. The RS parties have different standpoints on this issue. Reported by Milorad Milojevic.

World

The NATO Secretary General, George Robertson sent a letter to the American Senate, expressing his worry because of the proposed withdrawal of the US forces from Kosovo next year. This decision might send a dangerous sygnal to the President Milosevic, Robertson said.

The Macedonian opposition protested against the authorities this evening on the Square in Skoplje.

The OHR presented the proposal for the Law that will regulate financing of parties in B&H at the state level. According to this law, parties would be financed from the state budget. Entity parliaments would finance parties in their entities. Reported by Sanjin Beciragic.

The Muslim religious leader in Tuzla, Muhamed Lugavic has been unexpectedly replaced. Lugavic feels that the main cause for his replacement was his appearance on TV with Ms Svjetlana Broz. Citizens of Tuzla are against hir replacement. Reported by Muhamed Berbic.
