“There are doubts about the existence of tax evasion in “Dnevni avaz””, said Edhem Bicakcic, the Federation Prime Minister. “I am very sorry because Mr. Bicakcic presented unfounded claims”, said Fahrudin Radoncic, the General Director of NIK “Avaz”. “This is an attempt to stop freedom of media through “Avaz””, Mr. Radoncic added. “Nevertheless, we will continue informing the public objectively, and discovering corruption of Mr. Bicakcic and other politicians”, he said. The conference “Media and Politics” ended in Sarajevo today. The conclusion was that politicians, as well as the media should carry responsibilities for their actions. For journalists in countries of former Yugoslavia, rights on objective reporting were mostly denied. The report was produced by Damir Kaletovic.

This evening’s guest of TV INFO was Ante Nobilo, the lawyer who defends General Tihomir Blaskic before the ICTY. “The media were a basic support in the defence of Mr. Blaskic”, Mr. Nobilo said. “We are discovering new evidences every day, which confirm our thesis in the defence process”, Mr. Nobilo added. “We discovered that there was a direct command link between Kiseljak and Grude, and that Mr. Blaskic could have had no connection with the money laundry there. We will try to prove this before the ICTY“, Mr. Nobilo said. “Milorad Dodik’s recent visit to the Hague is very important for the RS”, he added.

The Montenegrin Internal Minister, Vukasin Naras announced his resignation, because of the attack on Vuk Draskovic in Budva. The Montenegrin police announced that they would discover the attacker’s identity today.

The ICTY Prosecutor, Carla Del Ponte will visit Kosovo next week.

The Congress of the Syrian leading party is taking place for the first time for 15 years. Members will appoint a new Secretary General. Zeljka Lekic produced the report on world events.

The Federation is in danger because of the spread of Q-fever. The Federation Government prohibited sale of milk, milk products and meat from the area where the disease was registered, in order to prevent the spreading of Q-fever. Reported by Anes Alic.

According to the RS Ministry for Refugees, the return process in the RS is taking place much faster this year than last year. The biggest problems are refugees whose pre-war property was destroyed. “We have to find some solution for these people urgently” said Drago Vuleta, the Deputy Minister for Refugees.
