Mostar Airport – Reopening of Airspace

Mostar Airport Interim Authority is pleased to be able to confirm that the Mostar Airport, which was for some time closed for security reasons related to NATO operations in FRY, will from next Monday be operational again. Despite the time frame restrictions (06:00 – 19:00 hrs), two air companies have confirmed resumption of their flight schedules to Zagreb and Vienna.

Croatia Airlines start operating on Monday, April 19, 1999, and will have three flights a week: Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays.

Tyrolean Airlines will start their flights on Thursday, April 22, 1999. It plans to gradually step up its current frequency of three flights a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays) to six flights before the end of April and, starting mid-June, daily flights will be introduced.

The OHR appreciates the initiative of the Mostar Airport Interim Authority for the re-opening of the Airport. This step will enhance and immensely contribute to the prosperity and improvement of economic situation of the whole region.
