The High Representative to BiH, Valentin Inzko, will attend the second annual summit of heads of states and governments of Western Balkans countries which is taking place in Vienna today and tomorrow, 26 and 27 August 2015. “Last year’s conference in Berlin resulted in a new European initiative for BiH and this year’s Vienna Summit is a continuation and strengthening of the process. This is a rather rare chance, but also an ideal opportunity for BiH and representatives of other states to play a positive role in building stronger ties in the region and to show that BiH is serious about tackling the challenges that confront the country and its citizens. This summit should be fully used as it is a rare occasion when for 2 days of the year the Western Balkan is the agenda number one of the IC and the EU”.” – said High Representative.
During his stay in Vienna, the High Representative will also attend High Level Panel Discussion – Bilateral Disputes in the Western Balkans Tackling Tomorrow’s Issues Today, organized by the Austrian Foreign Affairs Ministry. He will also use his presence in Vienna for numerous bilateral contacts.
