The PLIP agencies (OHR, UNHCR, OSCE, CRPC) wish to announce that the Property Law Implementation reached 76% throughout BiH as of the end of February 2003 .
81% of claims were resolved in the Federation BiH; the Republika Srpska resolved 69% of the property claims while Brcko District resolved 79% of the property claims filed with the housing offices. Of the total of 229 235 claims, nearly 56.000 claims still remain to be resolved.
Some municipalities showed sharp increase or decrease in their monthly implementation ratios. This is due to the fact that the process of revision of records in the housing departments was finalized in particular in Kakanj, Zavidovici and Visegrad; Mostar Central Zone has excluded destroyed property from the statistics, and Mostar South started using the new PLIP Questionnaire for the first time in February as requested by the international organizations.
