The Supervisor of Brcko, Gary Matthews, has held a meeting today with representatives of the DP’s Association Provratak at their request.
The meeting provided for a useful and constructive first exchange between Ambassador Matthews and the members of Povratak. The Supervisor listened to the concerns expressed by the representatives of DPs from Brcko and emphasized that the issues related to return are one of his top priorities. Ambassador Matthews reminds that the need to accelerate the return process in Bosnia and Herzegovina was one of the conclusions of the recent meeting of the Peace Implementation Council in Brussels.
The Supervisor of Brcko intends to continue the dialogue that was initiated by his predecessor, Robert W. Farrand, when he met with members of Povratak on April 25, 2000.
