The High Representative, Wolfgang Petritsch, has annulled the proposed appointments of the Federation Minister of Justice and the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.
The procedure for such appointments is clear, and was even discussed at a meeting with Prime Minister Bicakcic and Deputy Prime Minister Covic on 15 September: all such nominations are subject to prior review by the High Representative.
Since this procedure has clearly not been followed, the High Representative has therefore been obliged to annul the current proposals. He calls upon President Luzanski to submit the names of candidates for both offices for his review as soon as possible.
