Considering the level of progress achieved in the process of integrating municipal services and community life in the Municipality of Zepce, the High Representative, Paddy Ashdown, yesterday amended the Municipality’s Statute.
Four years ago, the High Representative imposed a Decision integrating the municipality. This put an end to years of lawlessness and illegal parallel structures, a legacy of the Bosniak-Croat war there.
In the period following the Decision, the High Representative was mandated to review and finally approve the Statute of Zepce Municipality.
Friday’
s Decision brings the Municipality of Zepce into the administrative mainstream of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Zenica – Doboj Canton.This Statute enters into force forthwith, and will be published in the Official Gazettes of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Zenica – Doboj Canton.
