News Summary
TV BiH account of Krajisnik’s carrier
Indicted for war crimes, Momcilo Krajisnik is known as Radovan Karadzic’s closest associate. He was in the SDS leadership from its founding in 1990. In the 1990 elections, he was elected President of the Assembly of the Socialistic Republic of BiH, where he was dubbed “Master of Procedure” for his ability to block decision-making processes in BiH. (Footage of his speeches shown). During the war, he assumed the position of President of the self-proclaimed BiH Serbs parliament in Pale, a position he held until the 1996 elections. Then he entered the BiH Presidency in accordance with the Dayton Agreement. Hies two-year mandate in the BiH Presidency served mostly to obstruct its work. He often emphasized this as the SDS platform from before the war. In the 1998 elections, he lost in a close battle to Zivko Radisic. Since the defeat, he was seldom seen in public, but continued to perform his role in the SDS leadership. He was perceived as an influential back-man with regular connections with Karadzic.
