Reykjavik
At the session of the Committee for Political Affairs of the EC Parliamentary Assembly held today in Reykjavik, it was decided that BiH will not become a member of the European Council this year. The BiH delegation was headed by the BiH Federation Prime Minister, Edhem Bicakcic. A discussion in respect to this will be possible only at the end of January next year. Banja Luka
The Supervisor for Brcko, Robert Farrand, had separate meetings with the member of the BiH Presidency, Zivko Radisic, the RS Prime Minister, Milorad Dodik, and the President of the National Assembly, Petar Dokic, today in Banja Luka. Some of the issues they discussed were implementation of the decision on Brcko and return of refugees. The SFOR Commander, General Montgomery Meigs, visited Banja Luka as well. OBN reporter from the town, Dragan Stanimirovic, confirmed.
Kosovo
Russian soldiers killed three Serbs in Kosovo today. The Serbs attacked unarmed Kosovo Albanians. One Kosovo Albanian was killed, two wounded. A report on the current situation in Kosovo was produced by OBN journalist, Gordana Frimel.
Electricity
In four day time, six Balkans’ countries will sign a declaration on the establishment of the joint, regional market of electricity. The BiH Federation Minister of Foreign Trade, Mirsad Kurtovic, said that this should help BiH to achieve the pre-war level of electricity production. The report was produced by OBN reporter, Damir Kaletovic.
Gas
Due to a debt of more than DEM 10 million for the last six months, delivery of gas to BiH was stopped. At the same time, the Sarajevo Canton Government asked for the increase of gas price. OBN reporter, Sevko Bajic, researches how this could happen.
Banja Luka
This was followed by a report on the three day conference which started today in Banja Luka about protection of the environment. Representatives from both BiH entities took part in the work of the Conference.

A report on the chaotic situation in East Timor after the recent elections, was followed by reports on the events in Dagestan, Middle East and Northern Ireland.
Ljubljana
A piece on the blockade of all main roads in Slovenia made by truck drivers. OBN journalist, Aleksandar Mlac, reported for TV INFO from Ljubljana, that truck drivers ask for establishment of financial discipline in the state.
Mostar
At today’s session of the Town Council of Mostar, it was decided that the town officials, together with the Office of the High Representative in BiH, should fulfill necessary conditions until September 16th, in order to provide the Town Council to get authorities over the Mostar airport. The new Head of the UNHCR Mission in BiH met with the heads of the Hercegovina-Neretva Canton today in Mostar.
Sipovo
A report on the project “To Live Together Again” allowed women from the RS and Bosniaks to make the first step in establishing of better mutual relations. The report was produced by OBN reporter from the area, Suzana Vukcevic.
Sarajevo
A report on the different school plans in the BiH Federation. The Bosniak and Croat partners in the BiH Federation did not succeed to agree joint school plan which was one of preconditions for the membership of BiH in the European Council.
Vares
This was followed by a piece on the protest of Croats in Vares due to closing of the only elementary school in the area which worked according to the Croat school plan.
Dvorovi (Bijeljina)
A report on the opening of the new elementary school in Bijeljina. One of important donors in the project was the German organisation “GTZ”.
Sport
A report on the second international Handball Tournament in Sarajevo was followed by reports on WNBA matches, US Open tennis tournament and athletic tournament in Italy.
Mostar
