BiH citizens living abroad can register for elections in BiH – Domi

At a press conference in Sarajevo, OSCE spokesperson Tanya Domi stated that BiH citizens living abroad can already register for the upcoming general elections in BiH, adding that the deadline for registration is 31 May. The OSCE and IMC welcome the European Council decision on the protection of journalist sources. An OSCE press release reads that the protection of confidential sources of information is one of the most important steps that every democratic society undertakes in order to promote the freedom of media and the protection of the rights of journalists. The IMC also brought new decisions against violations of media rules during the election period. HRTV Herceg-Bosna was fined 2,000 KM, RTV BiH 1,000 KM, HRTV Mostar 400 KM, ATV Banja Luka 200 KM and BEL TV 200 KM. IMC spokesperson Zinaida Babovic reminded that all BiH media outlets that did not pay for their temporary broadcast licenses must do so before 31 May.
