SRT carried the news on incident the between KFOR and Albanians in Kosovska Mitrovica when Albanians tried to cross the bridge and enter the part of the town controlled by Serbs – BBC. The item is followed by BBC footage showing the KFOR soldiers fighting and preventing Albanians from crossing the bridge.

SRT carried a few more items on the situation in Kosovo: detonation in the vicinity of OSCE building in Pristina, unnamed persons attacked Serb house in Pristina, Serbs from Gnjilane rejected UN Civil Mission offer to participate in local authorities, Prizren: Serbs attacked, arsons, KLA terrorising Serbs, KLA is orchestrating actions and incidents in Kosovska Mitrovica.

Regarding Kosovo situation, SRT carried the statements of SPS, SRS, SPO, DSS and Hashim Thachi.

SRT carried the statement of Nikolai Rishkov, representative of the Russian Duma: “Those responsible will have to take the responsibility for the things that the Western countries did to Yugoslavia”. Rishkov was invited by the FRY Government and the purpose of his visit is to collect information about the negative consequences of NATO air strikes on the Yugoslav population. Rishkov said that collected information should have been presented to The International Tribunal in the Hague, although the Commission (the one Rishkov is working for) is not satisfied with the level of impartiality of the Tribunal.

SRT carried the news item on tomorrow’s meeting of Patriarch Pavle, Serbian opposition and G-17 group and statements of DS, G-17 group, Vojin Djukanovic (DPS), Novak Kilibarda (criticising Kostunica).

RS Army engineers installed a pontoon bridge across the river Sava in Bosanska Gradiska. SFOR attended the event. Major Wilcocks said that there were some customs issues to be solved and therefore the bridge will be opened on 12th of August.

RTV BiH and Radio-Television of Montenegro are to establish a link soon, which will provide permanent communication and exchange of programs. This will be the very first restoration of its kind after the split of the former Yugoslavia. The link established through Sarajevo will connect Banja Luka and Podgorica.

Dan De Luce said that RTV BiH had to undergo the liquidation process by the end of this year. The ruling Bosniak political structure wanted to keep RTV BiH as it was while HDZ hard-liners were against it and requested something new to be established.- SRNA
