Twenty Years of Dayton Through the Eyes of the High Representatives

On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement, signed in Paris on December 14th 1995, the Office of the High Representative asked current and former High Representatives to share their thoughts on the Peace Agreement and its implementation. These short retrospective video clips cover twenty years of peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina as seen through their eyes.

Over the past two decades, the International Community has invested significant effort and enormous financial resources to help rebuild Bosnia and Herzegovina, and help BiH become a functional and prosperous state, fully committed to its citizens and integrated into the Euro-Atlantic family.

The function of the High Representative is provided for in Annex 10 of the Peace Agreement. Seven High Representatives have fulfilled this function, including the current High Representative, Valentin Inzko.

The statements of High Representatives who decided to participate in this project are available to all media.
