High Representative Valentin Inzko paid a visit today to the Austrian contingent of EUFOR, who briefed him on efforts undertaken to assist Bosnia and Herzegovina and its people as part of the flood rescue efforts. EUFOR in particular emphasized its good cooperation with the BiH Armed Forces and civil protection organisations.
High Representative commended EUFOR for its assistance in saving lives and evacuating people to safety.
“What we can do now is to show our solidarity and deep sympathy with those affected by the floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially those who lost loved ones or whose homes were destroyed. I am confident that the International community in BiH will continue to provide assistance as long as it is needed”, the High Representative said.
