Welcome Progress On Visa Requirements

The High Representative and EU Special Representative in BiH, Valentin Inzko, the Head of the EU Police Mission to BiH, Stefan Feller, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Delegation of the European Union to BiH, Boris Iarochevitch welcome today’s adoption of the Rulebook on Internal Organization and Systematization for the Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The adoption of the rulebook for the Directorate for the Coordination of the Police Bodies of BiH was one of the outstanding conditions of the visa liberalisation dialogue.

In terms of the visa liberalisation dialogue, resolving the appointment of the Director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and the Coordination of the Fight against Corruption still remains outstanding and could delay a decision by the Council and European Parliament on visa liberalization for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The HR/EUSR, the Head of the EU Police Mission to BiH and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Delegation of the European Union to BiH want to remind BiH institutions that the European Commission will finalise its report to the European Parliament on progress in these areas on 31 August.
